At least 8 people were killed. Some by drowning in their home. it is very sad story. In South Korea, there were a lot of semi-basement houses. usually, poor people live in semi-underground homes around the city. Maybe, you might watch what they look like in the Oscar winning movie, parasite. They are usually vulnerable to flooding as one of the scens of the movie. The family also knew that low-lying district is prone to flooding. Unfortunately, for people like them, that’s only option.

heavy rain water gushed down not only a street drain but also semi-basement home. So, the manholes turned into death traps. at least two people were swept into open manholes during flooding. It also gushed out of drain on streets. The water also rushed down stairs of home really fast. Some signs that a manhole cover is about to be blown off include air whistling or the cover rattling. Experts recommend leaving the area immediately if you notice such signs.. authorities are advising people to stay away from rivers and streams.

Super typhoon Hinnamnor expected to land on Busan and southern coastal areas where it's southeastern tip of south Korea. The storm may have a significant impact on southern coastal areas. I hope the typhoon's course would move to west at midnight.
The last super strong typhoon called Maemi in 2003 in south korea leaves 16 dead and devastated the country. So, emergency preparations against it are now released on the news everywhere in south korea.
I think it's related to global warming. According to the agency, the lower the central pressure is, the stronger the typhoon becomes as it sucks in the air around. At this time, all the surrounding weather conditions are helping the typhoon get stronger. The wind speed of Hinnamnor is expected to surpass 50 meters per second, which means the typhoon would be strong enough to send people and stones flying and destroy buildings. So, authorities are advising not to go out at all up to 2days.
